What a year!!!!!!!!! 2010 was not my favorite but 2011 is going to be great!
Rose is feeling a lot better and should be back to work on Friday this week. I am still a mess but my spirits are good and I am really looking forward to spring. HA HA It is only a few days into winter. Snow has been flying around our home and is about 18" on the ground.
My boys and I got our kitchen redone and we are loving the granite counters and the new cabinet arrangements. Thanks so much for all your help. There is no way I could have done it without you.

What if you could get more bang for your buck, or your time?
As many of you know, Dr Wallach is back in Sandpoint, ID; Creston, Canada; SLC; and Logan this week, & NC next month.
If we follow some recent examples of success (9 new Diamonds, 1 new Double Diamond since Feb 2010)
in Saint George, Creston, Bonners Ferry, Missoula, Spokane, Logan, and quite a few other locations, we can benefit
by inviting people to come to the lecture.

Here’s the formula:
Step #1
Change the flyers to reflect your phone number( or we’ll do it for you, need Illustrator), make lots of copies,
and hang them on bulletin boards, and walls all over town. Places that work best are small businesses
and Mom & Pop shops. Other places such as grocery store public bulletin areas, wholesale parts houses,
barber shops, salons, break rooms in businesses of all types(Maybe at the one where you work!), some libraries allow
it, some schools allow it ( teachers/parents of ADD kids especially) feed stores(IFA), some chiropractors & other practitioners
will be willing to help. Ask anyone you do business with to display a flyer, ie; auto mechanic, insurance firm, stores of all kinds,
plumber, heating/ac guy, computer guy, cable guy, appliance guy, barber, massage therapist, dentist, accountant, hair stylist,
manicurist, vacuum shop, carpet guy, real estate agent, nurse, health food stores, veterinarian, pool guy, some restaurants have public bulletin
boards, mortgage agent, etc, you get the idea.
If you don’t live in the area, maybe someone in your group, or a friend does, ask them to help.
(Hint. If you lend a CD to the proprietor, or prospect, you’ll increase your flyer distribution, and people will come AND, bring others.)

Step#2
Send flyer as an email to your contact list, as an FYI, & ask them to pass it on.
Text to phone contacts, post on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Step#3
Plan to take a carload to the lecture, help them get seated, etc.
We will know who invited them by the phone # on the flyer or tear-off strip,
and they will be signed up under you. You will benefit by receiving a thank-you note in the form of a check!
Many have given us enough referrals that their thank-you note pays for all the products they use!
Others have joined our team and with some training and a lot of dedication, now enjoy a full time income.

Youngevity is doing a database down-line purge that will happen in the month of July. Anyone or any position who has not ordered within the last 36 months will have their Youngevity account terminated.

Some people quit and leave a down-line that becomes neglected and also quits. If you are purchasing and supplying someone with products you should use their account if they have one. Right now there is a program that will give you a New Start-up bonus for an order from one of these people if they make a new order on their account. Your back office will have a post if they are eligible for you to get the bonus. You can find this in the last row in your genealogy. If they are eligible they are also on the list to be dropped. (note: this bonus will end when the purge is done!) You can make some money and help them to get back in the system. Call, write, or email these people and help them and yourself to better health and greater profits.

It is my recommendation that you make a complete database copy, before this happens. Because past members can then re-sign-up for FREE as a Preferred Customer or the $10 associate fee, but they will be able to choose a new sponsor if desired. It is far easier to keep a distributor, you have worked hard for, than to reach, train and sponsor a new distributor.

So, what are your goals for 2010? I hope yours, like mine, include becoming as healthy as you can. I plan on continuing to supplement my diet with the best vitamins and minerals I am aware of on the planet.

One of the best ways I know to fortify that decision is by studying the founder and creator of our products. Dr. Joel D. Wallach B.S., DVM, ND is the author of the famous "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" lecture. His books and Cd's have sold 75,000,000 copies. I am aware that the last blog post I made was about the wonderful experience we had when Doc visited us in Salt Lake City, Utah and other area locations. Many of you voiced to me that you felt badly you missed that event. I am thrilled to let you know we have the privilege of seeing and hearing him for an encore this month.

The cool part is that this is also a free event. I mean by that, it will cost you nothing to come and hear Dr. Wallach. I also know that the cost can be exceptionally high if you don't come and you have that opportunity. Doc has changed the lives of thousands by his ground breaking knowledge of health and nutrition.

In the past I was a share owner in two motels. Motels have a set number of rooms to rent each night. If you miss renting all the rooms you will never make up the rent because it is a lost opportunity. If you miss seeing Doc and something he said in his lecture could have saved you or a loved one from a health issue it is worse, a costly lost opportunity. Some things in our lives we knowingly miss out on and some things pass us by because we miss the class. I believe that with Doc's lectures you could miss a life saving piece of knowledge.

Doc is looking good! Since I saw him last he has lost 52 lbs. He is 70 years old chronologically but tests out with the body of an 18 year old by medical standards. Doc is sharp as a tack and right on the mark. He not only talks the talk but he walks the walk. If we do what he says and does, we can have the health he has. It was so fun to hear more of the updates to prove "Dead Doctors Don't Lie."

At the event I found Doc and his wife Dr. Ma Lan have written a new book titled "IMMORTALITY." I bought one and I am in the process of reading it. So far it is way better than just good. This book is great! Of course it is an update on information that has led him to his conclusions on living longer and healthier. So far I have found a ton of new information and sources of evidence that support his lifestyle and recommendations. 482 pages of jamb packed information. IMMORTALITY has information on many people and societies around the world that are living longer and healthier. Doc shows how it could be you, your family and loved ones living longer and healthier if we do what the AGEBEATERS do to attain a long life.

Residual Income Game last night. What a Blast!

We had the money flying around the boards last night. Amazing how people that need to be up getting ready for work at 4:00 am will keep pushing the game till 1:00 am and then drive home. We had a blast. Everyone reached the game rank of Crown and added dollar equity was between 3 and 6 million for each player. It is awesome how much people can learn about Network Marketing and the basics of team building playing the Residual Income Game.

We had 3 brand newbies that came away from the game with a basic understanding most people don't learn in months of being in the business. All this Education and it is so much fun. Wow! Hope to see you at the next game.

Incredible Youngevity Opp Meeting last night!!!!

I was so happy to be at our Youngevity Opportunity Meeting last night. Those attending were blessed to hear my good friend Blake Graham present an awesome lecture. I went to the gathering expecting to hear about the latest hot, new products and business opportunities in Youngevity:

I'm aware of many new additions to our product lines in, just to name a few, TruChocolate, PureWorks, Suzanne, and Mineral Makeup.
I expected to see pictures and hear stories of the recent, company funded, European Cruise for top distributors, (Blake and Nephi were on that cruise).
I thought sure we would hear from Blake about the Youngevity Japan organizations and what they are doing.
The truth is, I was pleasantly surprised to again hear Doc's Story and the mission of Youngevity. Every now and then as Youngevity business owners we need to step back and re-examine what Doc's mission statement and his reason for life is and re-adopt it for our own mission.

If you have read the book, "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" you know that Doc is serious and has long range goals concerning improving the health of the world. From the Youngevity website we read:

Blake pointed out that the health problems in the world are not just names in books, they effect people and people have names. Some of those names are our friends and relatives who are very dear to us. Bucket List

Does everybody know what's on your bucket list? Seems like a good idea. First of all a bucket list is all the things you want to do before you kick the bucket. Seems morose but really if you thing about it we all have a limited time here. Like they say, "This is not a two act play." We should know what we want to accomplish and how much we have done. I think a journal is a great thing so your kids and grand kids and so on and on can know who you are.

I have a list of cars I want to own. I have checked off a bunch, Mercedes, Audi, Saab Turbo, Mustang, Landcruiser, Corvette, Chevy Belair, Subaru, Jimmy, Trooper, VW Beetle, Lincoln Continental, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chevrolet Malibu, , Corvair, and my first car was a Studebaker I shared with my brother Brad. 3 Boats, bunches of motorcycles, still have 3.

How about where have I gone? Grand Canyon, MT Rushmore, Chicago, Arizona, Colorado, S. Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, New Mexico, Nevada, Kentucky, Israel, Greece, Mexico, and lived in Utah, California, North Carolina, Virgina, Georgia. So I guess you know there are tons of places I still want to go.

I have been a soldier in the Army. Flown in Helicopters and worked on computers when they were a little more than a brand new idea, until now.

The only broken bone I am aware of ever having was a basal skull fracture from a motor cycle accident. There could have been some ribs but it was never proved one way or the other.

I fell off Pete's Rock rappelling the face and lived. (by catching the rope and burning my hands)

Lots of fist fights. Back in the old days before pulling a gun or knife started solving squabbles.

Got a Cruising State Street speeding ticket back in the old days for obstructing traffic, going too slow, excessive acceleration, exhibition driving, reckless and 50 mph over speeding all on one ticket. Dad's Oldsmobile Starfire could smoke the wheels at any speed....(luxury 442)

I have spelunked in Neff's Cave (deepest cave in North America). Now it is blocked.

I have swam in the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Dead Sea, Sea of Galilee, River Jordan, and all lakes and a ton of streams and rivers within 150 miles of Salt Lake City.

Even though I was in the 82nd Airborne I never jumped out of a plane. Not too many can say that. I was belligerent. I did jump twice out of a 30 foot, 2 story window from my Army barracks to prove I wasn't chicken and to make a $200 bet. ( Could be the reason I have back trouble)

Ok, we made some money. What now?

Many businesses are built by people trying to reach a dream. So you do a dream board and what does it look like? Are you in business just to get a car or a house or trips or all that stuff? It is important to use your head, and create stability along with having a good time.

1st thing you want to do is be prepared for taxes. I am not a tax accountant or CPA but if you are making a ton of money be prepared to pay the taxes. I was at a meeting one night and heard about a young girl that had purchased a home for a depressed price. She sold it and made a killing. Awesome! Making money is the reason we are in business. I ask her what she had done with the money she made. She proudly told me to look out the window at her new truck. She had put 100% of her earnings as a down payment and picked up a beautiful truck and a large monthly payment to go with it. Where was her dad and what was her upline thinking? It is important to use good judgement.

I got an Email from my cousin Gordon Clark this morning. It really puts life in perspective. I don't love money but I need money for things I require. I am not committed to obtaining money more than I am committed to living a good life. What I think is a good life, is a life of giving. I believe in God and try to live his commandments. I believe in putting other peoples needs on the same plane as mine. I believe family is the top of the heap. I care more about my wife and kids than I care about my life. My goal each and every day is to live the way I believe and let others know what I believe without having to say it but by showing it to them. I am perfectly happy with a cup that is plain but that holds a lot of love.

Passing of a friend. Is there a story for you?

Just thought I would let you know my Trooper is repaired. Strange how we worry so much about our cars and other "stuff" and ignore our own health. I love the idea that people will spend tons of money buying a car and tons of money keeping it in good running order and changing the oil and filling the tank with "good" fuel and yet they won't take quality vitamins. We all feel we are doing what's right with our bodies. We watch our cholesterol, fatty foods, sugar intake, don't smoke, never drink too much, always exercise, watch our weight. Oops! Am I dreaming, lets say some of us do these things. We all pick and choose. One thing about Youngevity you never have to guess whether we are getting the best supplements. Doc has always led with the mighty 90. 90 essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids with the essential fatty acids. If you don't know what that means go back to the first posts on my blog and I explain it fully.

I am thinking about my best friend Gary today. A couple of weeks ago he was up from St. George and sat with his uncle Lon as he passed away with cancer. Very traumatic. He had to go back to work and missed the funeral. His uncle Jerry spoke and I know he would have loved his talk. I found out many new things about Lon I was never aware of. He was a builder of homes. He would build a home and live in it while he built another home and then move into the new home and so on and so on. I met Lon many years ago when I was about 16. He built the home next to my parents in Salt Lake. It was an investment home. Lon didn't know he would die a long, excruciatingly painful death with cancer. He was just like you and me, living his life. I bet he was not aware of antioxidants, nor did he take them.

Gary called me this morning to let me know that he got a call about his Uncle Bill and that he had passed away. He was also at Lon's funeral. He had a heart attack. They were in their 70's. Many would say that they had lived a long and full life and it was their time to go. I am pushing 60 and I want you young people to know that I feel no different today than I did at 18. From my side of my eyes, I look out and see opportunities to fully enjoy the rest of my life. You never, as I see it and as it has been related to me by very old people just prior to death, feel different. Sure, you can't do some things you used to be able to do. If you keep a young mind by being adventurous and having goals and dreams for your future, you can always enjoy more life. It is when our body fails and we get sick and are in pain and lose functions that people start to give up. Sam Clements used to say that if he had known he was going to live this long he would have taken better care of himself. We should all take note of that and start today, taking better care of ourselves. I bet Uncle Bill didn't know he should be taking selenium and absorbable calcium.

Gary's call was hard for him. He is feeling his mortality. His Uncle Jerry, the one that spoke at Lon's funeral, is the oldest in his family line and then comes Gary. He has younger cousins but he is one step away from being the patriarch of the Vombaur genealogy. His comment to me was that he is quitting smoking this weekend. I wish he had said he is quitting smoking now, because then it would have led me to believe he had a better chance of success. Smoking is very hard to quit but it can be done if you make a decision to "Never smoke again!" Just one more will end your quest. I love Gary like a brother and hope it works for him. I know that smoking is a big health hazard. I have family members that I long to see quit the habit. I know it can be done. When I was young I smoked 3 packs a day during the week and 5 each on Friday through Sunday. I quit the day I caught my two young boys imitating me with their crayons. I knew it was bad and I did not want to be the influence that would cause them such pain. It half worked. I know it is possible. The odds are against you and it requires real determination, but it can be done. I wonder if Gary knows that Plant Derived Minerals help reduce cravings. I will have to let him know about that.

Think this over. Put your own name in the headline. What do you need to find out to make your life longer? What should you do to make your health better. My own dad passed away on April 1st, 2005 . That was a horrible April Fools trick on me. He was an incredible father and a great example of a man of integrity. I knew about our products for 3 years prior to his death. I talked about them with him until he finally said that his friends the doctors were the last word on his diabetes. He would not take supplements because they cost money. Lack of money was not his problem it was lack of belief. I am confident that he would be alive today if he had done as I asked. I know our products have saved my life twice. I also know that the only way you will know what they would do for you is to try them. I can't make you any promises and the government requires that the last word you will hear as you go out of this life will probably be your doctor's voice.

Today's Prospecting (friendshipping) Example

I was having my SUV repaired this morning. I was waiting for the lender car to return so I could leave. Up walked a lady with a great personality. This is my target market; people that are friendly and that will talk to people. We began a conversation and I noticed right away she fit what I am looking for when I tell people about TRU Chocolate. You should know she is very fit and didn't look like she needed to lose weight. I found out her name is Misty and she related she was looking for a job. So I knew right away she was friendly and could use some more money. I found she is married and drives a Blazer. I'm married to and also had a Jimmy which is a Blazer in disguise. So, we had some things in common. I simply said, "Do you like chocolate?" I didn't wait for some special moment or set it up, I just asked. She looked wide eyed for a sec and said, "Sure I like chocolate, not to say I crave it all the time but sometimes I have to go to the store and buy a donut and cover it with chocolate syrup." I told her about our chocolate wafers and ask if she thought that sounded interesting. She said it did. I didn't have a sample but the owner of the auto shop is not only a friend of mine but also a distributor in my hierarchy in Youngevity. I told her he would supply a sample and if she signed up she should join with him. I got a piece of paper and wrote down the address to my blog. I could have called the testimony line (1-512-404-1282) or told her about the almost daily 7:30 pm (MST) webinar (www.chocolatewow.com). Both of those options are talked about here on the blog. She seemed very interested. I asked if she had the web. She said no but she was going to the library daily, while looking for a job, and using the web. I am sure when she looks up the blog she will read about her story. I believe this will be a great fit for you Misty.

My point in telling this story is obvious. All you have to do to create business and meet potential distributors is be friendly. Meet people with a smile. This is not cold call selling. This is just being friendly and making new friends. If it leads to business so much the better for them and for you. When you meet this new person your foremost thought should not be how much can I sell her. It should be what can I do to benefit her life? I'm sure Misty and I both had a mutual feeling of friendship. Telling her about the TRU Chocolate did not detract from that, because I found a need she had. I told her about something that would fill her need for more money. The way to learn how to do this is next time you are out and about in a store, look over your options for checkout lanes and look for someone who is smiling, not just for the shortest line. Get in behind that person. Smile back. Find something to talk about. I like to use FORM. The acronym FORM stands for family, occupation, recreation and money. Pick one topic that seems appropriate and just start a conversation. Try very hard to find something in this persons life that TRU Chocolate will benefit. Now, once you know how it will benefit her and make her life better; could even be her only way to financial freedom, to better health, to saving a marriage, to losing that weight that has ruined her life, try not to tell her about it. If you put yourself in the place of your new friend and knowing how it will change her life and don't tell her about it, you will not feel fear of speaking but you will fill the guilt of not telling her. When you do tell her, help her feel how this product will change her life and make her feel it and you will seal your friendship forever. It's amazing how much more open people are to telling their true problems, emotions and joys to a pure stranger. Think Forest Gump on the bench.

Do you know anyone, that knows anyone, who knows

You know, it could go on and on and on. It's called 6 degrees of separation. If you know someone who knows someone you don't know ~ if 6 generations pass and if you had a computer to track it; you could be 6 people away from anyone in the world. To make this work you have to ask for a referral! Just like Facebook, hmm.

I hear every day ~ I have told everyone, I don't know anyone, everyone I know is poor, this is a rough economy. I say, it's a bunch of proverbial hooey. If two or three times a day you ask the simple question, "Who do you know that likes chocolate?" you will find people that like chocolate and who also know someone, you don't know, who needs our product. I promise ~ very few people will take a swing at you for asking that question. If they do, we don't want them any way. Don't get all detailed and sell the car by explaining how the engine works. Just ask if they like chocolate. When they say, they do; well, give them a piece of TRU Chocolate and a drink of water. Wait for the Wow! Not tough at all!

I was doing some stuff this morning and was watching a bit of Hoda and Kathie Lee on NBC TV. They said something that really caught my attention. “Just about everyone craves either chocolate or something salty and crunchy.” That piece told me we are on the right track with our TRU Chocolate. They were all about not eating too much chocolate because it's full of sugar and fattening. TRU Chocolate isn't and it tastes great! So we ought to find at least 50% of the people we talk to that will listen. Following it up, I googled Hoda and Kathie Lee chocolate. There were thousands of hits. Do you think they spend all that money on researching what people want to hear about and talk about things no one cares about? No! It seems that chocolate is a big hit in their show. Hoda is the chocolate lover and Kathie Lee likes salty. Funny, you can't tell by looking at them, you would have to ask to find out who likes what. 50/50 odds.

Money! This is a rough economy! People say it like it's news. Truth is, most of the people that say it haven't been effected. Utah has 3.4% unemployment rate in 2008. 1.35 million people had jobs in 2008 and about 47,000 didn't. Unemployment is up a bit since then but there are people that still have money to buy a product they want. An Internet guru I follow is Frank Kern. He says, and I agree, that people will buy what they want! So, do people want TRU Chocolate or do they want to lose weight? Do they want TRU Chocolate or do they want to earn a part-time, could be, full time income? Do they want TRU Chocolate because they love chocolate or do they want to love a chocolate that loves them back? By that I mean, it tastes great, has no sugar, full of antioxidants and herbs that curb their appetite.

So, the next issue, who can afford the price? Stop and add it up, people are overweight; how do they get thin? Have you ever heard of infomercials for exercise equipment and stores crammed to the rafters with weights and machines? What about cooking books and special diets that cost money? How about programs that help you learn how to eat and track your progress? How about fat farms? What about personal trainers? What about gyms and health clubs? How about the time spent on all these programs? I don't want you to think that these are bad things. In fact they are very good things but they are not free. Nobody expects them to be cheep or free. They cost big bucks and people pay. Frank Kern recently put out a video that talked about this issue of cost of product. He said that he flys a lot. Weekly he is going somewhere in the country or the world. He always flys first class and first class is always full. Even today in this economy. Why is it full? Is it the extra three inches in the seat bottom or the extra leg room? Is it the slightly better, bad airline food? Not on your life! It’s because the people who fly first class, fly first class because they can! Those, 26 or so seats, every flight could pay for a new BMW. There are people out there who will buy TRU Chocolate because they can. Many of those people are looking for residual income. You have to know that people with money depend on making money and this makes money. These people will see the value. Value is what it is all about. If you are interested in losing weight, or getting healthy or making residual income, TRU Chocolate has value. Where are you prospecting?

Obesity effects our health and our cost is in lives and huge dollar costs for medical and missed work. Most of all heart ache for family and the person involved. Many people will agree there is a problem but won't take the action required to fix the weight issue. What if they can make money and fix the problem? Would that make a difference? I had a problem with my grandson all morning on Saturday. We were together for the baptism of his brother Tanner. Four year old Tyler ignored me all morning. It came time to take pictures. There was a particular picture we really wanted to take. All of us were cajoling him to come and be in the picture. At his young age when I said, "Tyler, I will give you a nickel if you come be in the picture." He came right over, no more arguing. He wanted it now, but I told him, "After the picture." He smiled so big for the picture, I think it would be a great fit for Gerber. My point isn't that we should bribe our grand kids but did he want the picture or did he want the nickel? Do we want to sell chocolate to our friends or do we want them to get healthy, share our opportunity and become financially independent and make us a little money. We don't want to bribe people but the truth is money makes the world go round. How many of you would go to work tomorrow if you knew you weren't going to be paid? If you would go, how long would you keep going, for no money?

So I guess we can agree, chocolate is good and TRU Chocolate is better. Healthy is good and better if we can help others get healthy. Money is good and it is better, like J. Those kind of dreams and passions make a Vette or a Ferrari pale by comparison. Don't get me wrong the people with the drive deserve the best because they don't do it alone. They can't do it alone. They drag people along, kicking and screaming to prosperity. It takes a team and believe me, when that leader drives off in that car, their team will be at the curb cheering them on. Those people at the curb know that the inspiration and the leadership and the coaching paid for that car and it was their team who benefited. Now when you add that to the value of the cars, it is a "HUGE INCENTIVE." Way to go Doc and Steve, we love you!

A drink with as little as one gram of lemon grass contains enough citral to prompt cancer cells to commit suicide in the test tube.

Israeli researchers find way to make cancer cells self-destruct -Ben Gurion University.

At first, Benny Zabidov, an Israeli agriculturalist who grows greenhouses full of lush spices on a pastoral farm in Kfar Yedidya in the Sharon region, couldn't understand why so many cancer patients from around the country were showing up on his doorstep asking for fresh lemon grass. It turned out that their doctors had sent them. 'They had been told to drink eight glasses of hot water with fresh lemon grass steeped in it on the days that they went for their radiation and chemotherapy treatments,' Zabidov told ISRAEL21c. 'And this is the place you go to in Israel for fresh lemon grass.'

It all began when researchers at Ben Gurion University of the Negev discovered last year that the lemon aroma in herbs like lemon grass kills cancer cells in vitro, while leaving healthy cells unharmed. The research team was led by Dr. Rivka Ofir and Prof. Yakov Weinstein, incumbent of the Albert Katz Chair in Cell-Differentiation and Malignant Diseases, from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at BGU.

Citral is the key component that gives the lemony aroma and taste in several herbal plants such as lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus), melissa (Melissa officinalis) and verbena (Verbena officinalis.)

According to Ofir, the study found that citral causes cancer cells to 'commit suicide: using apoptosis, a mechanism called programmed cell death.' A drink with as little as one gram of lemon grass contains enough citral to prompt the cancer cells to commit suicide in the test tube.

The BGU investigators checked the influence of the citral on cancerous cells by adding them to both cancerous cells and normal cells that were grown in a petri dish. The quantity added in the concentrate was equivalent to the amount contained in a cup of regular tea using one gram of lemon herbs in hot water. While the citral killed the cancerous cells, the normal cells remained unharmed.

The findings were published in the scientific journal Planta Medica, which highlights research on alternative and herbal remedies. Shortly afterwards, the discovery was featured in the popular Israeli press.

Why does it work? Nobody knows for certain, but the BGU scientists have a theory. 'In each cell in our body, there is a genetic program which causes programmed cell death. When something goes wrong, the cells divide with no control and become cancer cells. In normal cells, when the cell discovers that the control system is not operating correctly - for example, when it recognizes that a cell contains faulty genetic material following cell division - it triggers cell death,' explains Weinstein. 'This research may explain the medical benefit of these herbs.'

The success of their research led them to the conclusion that herbs containing citral may be consumed as a preventative measure against certain cancerous cells. As they learned of the BGU findings in the press, many physicians in Israel began to believe that while the research certainly needed to be explored further, in the meantime it would be advisable for their patients, who were looking for any possible tool to fight their condition, to try to harness the cancer-destroying properties of citral.

That's why Zabidov's farm - the only major grower of fresh lemon grass in Israel - has become a pilgrimage destination for these patients. Luckily, they found themselves in sympathetic hands. Zabidov greets visitors with a large kettle of aromatic lemon grass tea, a plate of cookies, and a supportive attitude. 'My father died of cancer, and my wife's sister died young because of cancer,' said Zabidov. 'So I understand what they are dealing with. And I may not know anything about medicine, but I'm a good listener. And so they tell me about their expensive painful treatments and what they've been through. I would never tell them to stop being treated, but it's great that they are exploring alternatives and drinking the lemon grass tea as well.'

Zabidov knew from a young age that agriculture was his calling. At age 14, he enrolled in the Kfar Hayarok Agricultural high school. After his army service, he joined an idealistic group which headed south, in the Arava desert region, to found a new moshav (agricultural settlement) called Tsofar. 'We were very successful; we raised fruits and vegetables, and,' he notes with a smile, 'We raised some very nice children.'

On a trip to Europe in the mid-80s, he began to become interested in herbs. Israel, at the time, was nothing like the trend-conscious cuisine-oriented country it is today, and the only spices being grown commercially were basics like parsley, dill, and coriander. Wandering in the Paris market, looking at the variety of herbs and spices, Zabidov realized that there was a great export potential in this niche. He brought samples back home with him, 'which was technically illegal,' he says with a guilty smile, to see how they would grow in his desert greenhouses. Soon, he was growing basil, oregano, tarragon, chives, sage, marjoram and melissa, and mint just to name a few.

His business began to outgrow his desert facilities, and so he decided to move north, settling in the moshav of Kfar Yedidya, an hour and a half north of Tel Aviv. He is now selling 'several hundred kilos' of lemon grass per week, and has signed with a distributor to package and put it in health food stores. Zabidov has taken it upon himself to learn more about the properties of citral, and help his customers learn more, and has invited medical experts to his farm to give lectures about how the citral works and why.

He also felt a responsibility to know what to tell his customers about its use. 'When I realized what was happening, I picked up the phone and called Dr. Weinstein at Ben-Gurion University, because these people were asking me exactly the best way to consume the citral. He said to put the loose grass in hot water, and drink about eight glasses each day.

'Zabidov is pleased by the findings, not simply because it means business for his farm, but because it might influence his own health. Even before the news of its benefits were demonstrated, he and his family had been drinking lemon grass in hot water for years, 'just because it tastes good.'

So what? January is the virgin month. We have a clean slate and what are we going to do? I suggest a new vision board. You’ve all seen The Secret. Yes/No? Well if you haven't you need to go to Google and look it up. Find out about it and do something to improve your life and the lives of those you love.

We all sit around and wish for something better; better job, house, health, body, car, lifestyle, friends, family, church, town, state, country. What ever it is that you long for, it is only a wish unless you do something to get it. I believe in vision boards. I think if you imagine what you want by visualizing it and getting emotional about it, you will get it. So get a blank piece of poster board and some magazines. Cut out pictures that represent those things you long for. Stick those pictures on the poster board. Put that sucker somewhere so you will see it all the time.

Bob Proctor said the other day you should also have a card in your pocket with what you want on it. Every time you reach in your pocket you can pull it out and get emotional about having the things you want by reading the card.

Everyone will have different things which motivate them. Mine are mine and so on. What we will do in order for those things is more universal. We will work! I am not sure what you do to work. Sam, I Hope You Like The New 2009 Look!

It's a new year and I'm up for a new look and so is my blog. I hope Sam, my daughter, likes the layout and colors. I went through tons of backgrounds and didn't see what I wanted. Everything is either to frilly or to dark. I really like a blog or website that reading the font is easy. The ones that drive me up the wall are the black background and the grey font. It's cool to be the Matrix or Twilight but it makes for very hard reading.

I probably put more content about Youngevity than I should but my blogging goal is to help you understand what a great company you are aligned with. I hear so many times that people can't keep up with the new products. My intention is to stir your interest to look at the information on your own website. You will find out how much your life can be blessed by using Youngevity products. I'm sure you've heard my story. I know I would be dead without these products.

I understand most of you came in for what ever interested you when you signed up but this is an evolving company. If you keep up with the new offerings and also whatever brought you to the table, it will really suprise you how easy it is to qualify for a check. Just change where you buy not what you buy. Your budget won't be hurt. Just think about it, you can be someone who gets a check and all you have to do is use great products.

Question on MLM- Are the products worth the money?

What a great day! I was very fortunate today to get a letter from a person interested in Network Marketing. He posed an incredible question that myself and many have asked regarding Network Marketing and I want to include it today and also give you my answer for Richard.

Dear Mr. Thompson,
I have watched the two presentations on your website and feel they explain network marketing better than any others I have ever seen. (www.whatrichdo.com) I have no problem with the concept of MLM or network marketing, in fact, I believe it is a good business model. My concern is that I have not yet come in contact with a network marketing company that sold products or services that I thought were a good enough value to warrant my enthusiasm for the product and/or the business. I have a test that put any MLM product/business opportunity to and that is: Would I buy this product or service at the retail price if I was not involved or associated with this business? I have not found products or services yet that I could answer “yes” to this question. I would dearly love to find a business that markets products/services that are uniquely good enough and/or are a good enough price value that I or anyone I know would buy them. So, having said all that, what company do you represent and what products/services do you market? Do you sell them because you really, truly believe in them and that anybody would be better off using them or do you sell them because you make a lot of money doing it and even though it’s not the greatest deal going, again, you make a lot of money doing it? I want to find a product/service that I think is so good that I would want to talk to my family and friends about it because I think it is “that good” instead of feeling like I’m trying to push something on them so I can make a little (or maybe a lot) of money from their efforts. You said that you were skeptical at first. I have had enough experience with network marketing companies and products that I too, am skeptical, but not about the business model, but about the other things I have already mentioned. Dear Richard,
I also am at a disadvantage, not the same one you have, but similar in that you don't know what company I represent and I don't know anything about you. My first choice in telling you about my company would be for me to know more about you so that I would know what you would be interested in and feel it would be something of value for you. Price point is important but not always the most important thing in network marketing.
The experience I have had with the value of our products is that they are worth 10 times what I pay. Not knowing you, I would not know if you would feel the same way. The thing you have to know about me is that these products saved my life.
I don't know where it was that you found me on the Internet because I am all over the place, but if you did read my story you would know how these products saved my life. Back in 2002 I was diagnosed after multiple tests by MDs and given six months to live because of congestive heart failure. This was devastating to my family and me. My life has been full with various businesses and a continual participation in General Contracting. At about the same time I got this horrible news, I was carrying a palette of marble and tripped squashing the disk in my back at the fourth fifth lumbar. I spent two months of my six left to live in trying to use chiropractic and everything I knew to alleviate my horrendous pain. Finally, time was running out but something had to be done. I went in for back surgery and the operation was a success, but the result was I was told I could lift 5 pounds at the most for months. I would be able to work my way up to somewhere around 20 pounds within the year, which finished my career in General contracting. I had about three months left to live when I was given a tape from a trusted neighbor that told the story of a man named Dr. Joel Wallach. I grew up in a neighborhood where about every other house had a doctor living there. The name of this tape was "Dead Doctors Don't Lie." As you can imagine, the title was heresy to me. Even still, I listened to it because I was desperate. What I heard led me to believe that if it was true and that if I made changes, I would live. I paid the $10 and signed up in the company American Longevity. Long story short, I took the products and yes it cost me more money than I wanted to spend but because of the products and Dr. Joel Wallach I lived. My life is not perfect, there was damage to my heart, but I continue to take the products and I'm still alive.
The name American Longevity was changed to Youngevity a number of years ago because it was a poor fit with our international business.
Youngevity has been purchasing other companies the Wallachs felt were of value because of excellent products. They pay cash and our company is still debt free. This has led to a product line of over 450 products. I hope this helped you to see my perception of the value of our company. Is Your Dog or Cat in Your Will?

Are you a pet lover? Is your dog or cat a member of the family? Have you ever heard your kids ask if your dog was in your will? You may think I am kidding or you could know exactly what I am talking about.

If you do know, then I have a product for you. That product is Arthrydex by Youngevity. The thing you need to know about Dr. Joel Wallach, it's creator, is that he was first an extraordinary veterinarian. Doc knows about animals. He spent many years studying them. He started high school with a part time job at the St. Louis Zoo. He did very menial work so that he could work with and be around Marlin Perkins. In less than two years he had worked up to helping the legendary elephant trainer Floyd Smith. Doc was given a notebook to record every morsel of food fed to Florence and Pearl, a pair of two week old baby elephants. It began with bottles of milk and later on the things you would expect, such as celery, grapes, beans and summer grass. What Doc did not expect was the handfuls of blue clay that the little elephants ate like candy. Had a great day today. I've been thinking a lot about how thankful I am for my life. I love getting ready for Thanksgiving. It really makes you review your life. I give thanks to God 1st. I give thanks to my folks for bringing me into this world and for teaching me how to live. I am very, very thankful for my dear wife. I am so blessed to have her for the love of my life. I really appreciate all the things she does for me. I love my kids and am so thankful for what great adults they have become. I am grateful they have such wonderful partners and for my wonderful grand kids. I carry a little hunk of gold, heavy so it doesn't fall out of my pocket. Every time I feel it, I give thanks. I got the idea from the Secret. What a great idea! How lucky and blessed I am!

Wow, what an event!

Boy, I had a good time last night. The food was great, the people fantastic and the prizes incredible.

We tried out some of the low carb food products in the Suzanne line. As you know I am a low carb guy now and believe me the flourless brownies hit the spot. We had Chocolate mousse, moist Apple cinnamon Cake, tried the Beef Bourguignon and I am still salivating. What a good time. My deviled eggs where a hit. The cool part is the Suzanne products are price worthy, not pricey. I am amazed when I look at the costs.

We got to sample the PureWorks products and they are awesome! What a benefit to someone that is constantly washing to not have alcohol in your hand soap. Alcohol kills germs only when you use it. After your hands are dry and I do mean dried up (painful cracks), you are susceptible right away to germs. PureWorks kills bacteria and harmful germs for hours. Wow, think of your child at school or daycare. Think of all the colds they bring home by touchie feelie with their little friends. All it takes is to get it on your hands and put it in your mouth. That sounds weird for a little kid, hey? Not. Everything goes in the mouth. Then there is all the hard surfaces to disinfect. Don't get me going!

We heard a great presentation by our millionaire friend Triple Diamond Todd Smith. He did a short Power Point on the economy. It is amazing how many of the people that wouldn't talk network marketing because they were doing so well are now turning to network marketing. Todd is an attorney, has a degree in accounting and an MBA in Business. It was a testimony to network marketing that he was doing so well in that profession that he couldn't afford the cut in income to use those degrees. All this talk of disaster and his huge income is barely bumped.

We got to hear from William Black President of Residual Income with a message of affirmation on Todd's presentation about the increase in people looking at network marketing. He also reaffirmed our need to train all these new people coming on board quickly and effectively with the business training simulator they have created.

We had a grundle of winners of product in the drawing and Tonya Harmer was the winner of the Feb Convention ticket and Todd threw in Diamond University. Can you say "Big Winner." About $300 total. She used the secret and envisioned Nephi reading her number and voila he read her number. Very cool! What a great event!

Low Carb Diet With Dr. Wallach

Happy Thursday! Youngevity company conference calls tonight. In case you lost the number its 303-664-6005 with 8016610# to code in. It begins at 5:00 pacific. There is a call on the TRU Chocolate right after. All are welcome, distributors or not. Smallville is next and it is going to kick tonight. Looks like doomsday.

I had a good day today. Fixed my wife's sewing machine. Checked out some sites with low Carb diets. I am in the process of fine tuning Doc's low Carb diet. It is working very well. I started a week ago last Friday, so almost 2 weeks. A little history first - I had a racing pulse last year in December and it messed my heart up a bit. I think I had some drug side effects and the result is I am on full time oxygen. I went to my lung specialist 4 months ago and weighed in. Since that time I haven't been keeping track of my weight but with the reduced activity it felt like I have been gaining; pants tighter, shirts don't fit, you know the drill. So my kids gave me an ultimatum that I had to lose some weight. I went over all the different types of diets. Starve, weird stuff, rabbit food, run till you drop and the old pay through the nose types. A few years ago I did Doc's low Carb approach and it worked. I lost 80 lbs, felt great, blood pressure dropped and I was in hog heaven. Problem was I got a lot of grief from just about everyone that I wasn't doing what was healthy; eating all that fat and skipping the life giving bread and fruit that was created especially for us to eat. So I quit and it took about 2 years to put it back on plus another 10 lbs for good measure. So you don't have to wonder, my doc was set on me losing some weight too. I was telling Rose that it was like Pavlov's experiments. If I lost he was happy and easy going. If I didn't he got grumpier every time I saw him. Anyway it has been 4 months since I have seen him. Yesterday I had an appointment and when they weighed me I guessed I had lost about 6 lbs. I was pretty amazed that it was 16 lbs from the weigh in 4 months ago and yesterday. That doesn't take into account all the weight I felt I had gained between appointments. It could have been a lot more from when I began the change in eating style. Result = it works! I go back right after the first of the year and will let you know how it goes.

Of course, I am still taking the wonderful Youngevity supplements so I won’t be missing the carbs. Doc has always said “As a veterinarian he knew how to fatten up a pig for slaughter and that to make it lean all you do is reverse the process.” Carbs are the way to a big belly. The thing I like is that even though the pounds are dropping like crazy I am never hungry. The bummer is I had to give up bread and ice cream. Those were my two biggest Carb problems. So far it is doable and it has been all-most 2 weeks. Last time I liked it just fine so I think this is going to work.

I also have been drinking an ACT energy drink around lunch every day and that seems to give me just enough sweet taste with no sugar to satisfy all the cravings. I love that drink. It is amazing how it grows on you. First drink its so / so. Second drink you think, really not too bad and the Third drink, you love it. Hmm seems like the plug line works for me.

Life is good. The driver of the truck that flipped the rock through my window paid to have it replaced. That is a good neighbor and I appreciate him. His Name is Davis Roundy. He works for BZI Construction in Beryl, Utah. It is awesome as I go through life how many people I run into that are true Christians. I don't know what religion Davis is, but I know in his heart he is a Christian. He is a person of integrity. He takes responsibility for himself. I truly applaud his actions. The worst thing you can ever do in your MLM business career is to think, ponder, worry or even get the idea that it’s unprofessional to promote! Here are some MLM training strategies for generating your own MLM leads, even if you’re on a tight budget.

Let’s start out with a definition of the word promote which is the most important word in finding prospects for your MLM Business. The word promote means: to make known.

I was recently doing some MLM training with a person in my downline. She needed some help with her business, which was not growing. As I asked various questions I finally found the “nasty bug” that was stopping her network marketing business from moving forward. She didn’t want to come off as being or sounding sales-y. This stopped her from promoting.

How does everyone else promote?
A politician promotes how he/she can make a whole community’s life better - so he’s/she’s making herself known to the public by promoting and making known to as many people as possible what he/she can do for them. If you’ve noticed, politicians promote on TV, radio, the Internet, signs stuck in the grass or on telephone poles along a busy street or maybe speaking at various group meetings.

A college promotes what courses it offers. It might promote on radio, might promote to high schools or through sporting events. A stockbroker promotes that he can help his/her prospect make money. A local restaurant will promote via radio, or mailing brochures or discount coupons.

The worst thing you can ever do in your MLM business career is to think, ponder, worry or even get the idea that it’s unprofessional to promote!

You really need to know and understand promotion. The only way you can have prospects, therefore customers or distributors - is to promote. The only way for you to make money in network marketing is to promote. You can write down your dreams and goals and study them every night. But you’re as effective as a billboard in the middle of the desert. No one knows you exist until you make yourself known. So if you ever find yourself where your business isn’t growing or you don’t have enough prospects, enough customers, or enough distributors - what do you do? Promote!

Why do you promote? The reason you promote is to create desire for your product. If you don’t create a desire for your product, it’s very difficult to achieve MLM success. How would you know that someone desires your product or business? Well certainly if you sent a post card and someone called the number - that’s someone showing desire in your MLM Business. Even if a person called and asks, “How much is this?” It would still be someone showing desire - or at least slight interest. If you called a friend and asked them to look at something and they said, “Send it to me.” That’s showing a desire. People sometimes refer to desire as “responses,” as in, someone responded to my promotion.

Different types of promotion
So now let’s talk about different types of promotion that create desire. You could promote your MLM Business in:

1. The Help Wanted, the Sales & Marketing or the Business Opportunity sections of a newspaper,
2. Advertising section of magazines,
3. Direct mail, such as sending out post cards to everyone in your zip code,
4. Door hangers,
5. Email, banner ads on the Internet, social networking sites
6. Networking. You would be surprised at how many people, when mentioning all the ways to promote, miss that one. In fact, if you use traditional promotion with the mindset of just finding a network of people to work - you will fare far better than most who only measure their responses with how many people respond to their advertisement. You can turn one response from a promotion into thousands if you properly network.

And then there are leads you purchase from a lead company. The advantage of this is you’re only paying for those who’ve responded and you’re not paying for all the people who didn’t respond. If I send out 10,000 post cards and get 20 responses, then I paid for 9,980 post cards that didn’t get a response.

The advantage of writing your own ads of course is being able to target your specific audience with your specific product or opportunity message. Which is VERY important and should not be underestimated. In contrast, when you buy leads, you’re buying general ads - perhaps people who’ve responded to wanting a home based business. The other down side to buying leads is that very often; lead companies resell their leads to more than just you - so you’ve got extra competition to deal with.

Be “in” business
The bottom line is you must be using at least one of these three methods to achieve MLM success. If you’re not, you’re not in business - you’re out of business. What you should be doing, if you see the big picture and want the very big income is you need to be doing all three. All the time. Ideally you start out by networking, which will create enough money to buy MLM leads, then you’ll generate enough money from the leads you purchased to generate your own leads. My point is, as soon as you start making any money, reinvest it in promotion.

One other MLM training tip: don’t measure your success by just your immediate responses. Any marketer who is of any value knows that how you measure return on promotion investment is based on the “life of the customer.” NOT immediate return. Get one leader from a MONTH or 6-MONTHS of promotion and it can pay you for the rest of your life. People often ask me, how much money did you make your first year in network marketing- I tell them, “I don’t know, I’m still earning it.”

Broken window and a new President.

Wow, a broken window is no fun. I called my glass guy and he started looking for a window. Isuzu said there was only 3 of my type in the whole country. oooh bummer. 10" wide 14" high, fixed glass and minimal tint and the cost ~ $347.14 for the glass alone. I have worked with him for years and I trust him implicitly. I called a friend that does body repair and he said call Safelite. It looks like they can come to my home, repair the glass and all for the exorbitant cost of $198.59. They say there is low inflation but costs sure seem high. Oh well, I can't drive around with cardboard in the window.

Elections are over. I hope everyone got what they wanted. I think a great reason to vote is that if you vote and lose, you get the right to say I told you so if it turns out like you thought it would. We will wait and see. Not to say who I voted for. It is amazing how the country comes together and supports whom ever was elected. We have a new President and Congress, so for at least a couple of years they will have free reign to get us up and running again. I sure hope it works out. St. George, Utah

Hope you all had as good a weekend as Rose and I did. We drove down to St. George and spent some time with great friends. My friend Gary and I met when we were around 13. He was a little older then but he is a lot older than me now. HA HA. His wife Kathi was the wonderful lady who many years ago introduced Rose and I. We have been married for 36 years and I am deeply in Kathi's debt. I do believe Rose and I knew each other in another life and would have met anyway but I am glad Kathi stepped up. Some relationships were made in heaven and ours was one of those. We had a great kick back kind of weekend.

It was a bummer that as we were driving a rock was kicked up by a big construction truck and it went through the middle seat window on the passenger side. I have never had a window explode like that. We had some old duct tape and repaired it enough to get to town and fix it with cardboard. We called and the contractor said they will repair the window but it will take up my time. I am just thankful that it didn't go through the passenger window and hurt Rose. It was a blessing.

The weather couldn't have been better for this time of year. We watched some old movies and ate some incredible goulash and French toast. There was too much to relay it all but we ate well. We went looking at some great houses. I am sold on style not big. We sold our big house and it is amazing how much it simplified our lives having a home suited more for two. We have visitors for a while but there is still plenty of room.

We dropped in on my Aunt Jo and Uncle Roger. After living all over the West they finally settled in St. George. It is a fact that they didn't settle for their home. It's awesome. It has a view that looks out over a country club but it is so high up the cliff it would really take a shank to put a ball through their window. The great part is the cliff is a right of way they don't have to own but no one can build on. They have this incredible view of Green Valley and the Santa Clara River and the Bluff airport and red rocks of St. George and you can almost see the Toucan Theater. It's no wonder that building is going so wild in this great town. It is beautiful.

I was watching a History Channel show the other day and saw footage of when the Santa Clara River flooded and washed away a bunch of homes. It turns out the place Gary and Kathi have was in that same subdivision. I love the southwest look of all the architecture. Stucco and Red Bar Tile roofs in every imaginable configuration. I love the Palms and the desert landscaping. I love the warm winters and very little snow to shovel. I really love the friendship of the people we have met and enjoyed over the years. It is a very friendly town. Gary was telling me how great the people are and I told him a story I like. It seems there was a shop keeper at the gate of Damascus. He had been there for years and occasionally he would have a traveler ask about the people of Jerusalem. He would always ask how the people were where the traveler came from. Some would say they were horrible and nasty. They were ignorant and mean and he was so happy to be moving somewhere that had different people. The shop keeper would say "You ask how the people are around here and I am sorry to have to say I have found them to be just as rude and nasty as the town you came from. Many times the traveler would stop on his way out of town and tell the shop keeper how right he was about these horrible people. Sometimes the traveler would say that the people where he came from were wonderful and that he had hated so much having to leave his many good friends. The shop keeper would smile and tell the traveler that the people of Jerusalem were every bit as worthy of being called good friends and that he would love them. Very seldom did he ever see them leaving because the people were so great there they would have to stay forever.

My folks had multiple time shares in Green Valley for years. they finally ended up buying a home in Willow Run. Those were some great times. We spent a lot of time with the rest of the family sharing time in their home. It has been five or six years since they sold it. We've really missed it, our times in old St. George. It was so great to be back.

"Dead Doctors Don't Lie" by Dr. Joel D. Wallach

Man, that is a shocking statement if you don't know why it was made. The implication that our doctor could lie to us sends tremors up many people's spine. I grew up in a neighborhood where many of my good friends parents were doctors and I loved them all and knew them well. I also know they were human. I saw things you don't hear about in the office. I mostly saw honest people.

The book "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" is the result of the experience of Dr. Joel D. Wallach. If you have heard him in a live seminar, on a CD or tape or have read his book you know where the title to the book comes from. I believe that the best way to get the whole story is to read his book but I will try and give you some sense of a shortened version of where it came from.

Doc grew up on a farm in the Midwest. He loved agriculture and went to school and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Missouri in 1962, with a major in Animal Husbandry (Nutrition) and a minor in Field Crops and Soils. In 1964 he was awarded a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.), also from the University of Missouri. Thereafter, he completed a three-year (1965-68) post-doctoral fellowship at The Center for the Biology of Natural Systems at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1982 he obtained a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.) from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Besides studying in his field he worked in related areas and earned a living for his costs and tuition.

The title "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" was created by Dr. Joel Wallach after years of research on the subject of health and longevity. Dr. Wallach discovered that the life span of the average doctor in America is several years shorter than that of the average couch potato. Dr. Wallach began collecting obituaries of doctors only to find that many were dying of simple nutritional deficiencies. Doc believes if doctors really know the truth about health and longevity they should be living longer than anyone else, not dying sooner. This premature death pattern proves that doctors are missing some key elements when it comes to understanding what it takes to live a longer healthier life, hence was born the title... There is a huge amount of leverage wielded by the medical and pharmaceutical lobbies. In fact Congress has even legislated that the word "cure" cannot be used in regard to Human Beings. Doctor Wallach has spent a lifetime curing animals big and small, domestic to wild beasts. Many diseases we suffer from have been cured in animals and are no longer a problem for them. On the surface it seems it's not in the best financial interest of the human health system for there to be cures. It's more practical for us to have long term care and protocols that last for a lifetime.

Dr. Wallach has done over 17,000 autopsies on 454 species of animals and 3000 humans, researching disease, nutrition and longevity. Doc states that Ninety Five percent of chronic and degenerative disease can be prevented and reversed by giving back to the body the missing basic elements of life. As an expert on soils he further states that food supplies do not contain all the 90 essential nutrients. So, as you know I am a Network Marketer. So what is a Network Marketer? Some of you may think it is your product. Some of you may think it is the company you are aligned with. I believe it is when you truly enjoy meeting and working with people of like mind.

One of my favorite things I do as a Network Marketer is business lunch clubs. It is amazing how many there are and how many different agendas they have. Typically you get to have lunch, some kind of presentation is given and you get to do a small commercial about your product or company. These functions can be very profitable for your business. I love face to face social networking. The hardest thing you do is put out your hand and say "Hi, my name is Wes. What's your name? What do you do for a living?

Networking always booms in a down economy. Tax incentives, part time extra income, great products, people teaching people are some networking attributes. I love it.

A Day of Backstroking.

I was talking to someone last night, whose opinion I truly value. The gist of the conversation was that I might be too long winded. These last 2 weeks have been pretty in-depth and I know time is valuable to all of us. Anyway, I think some changes in format are in order. Say, Monday and Thursday the information will be "On Youngevity." The other three days we all want to hear from you. I say "we" because, even though this is technically my blog, if you can't take ownership also, no one will have a reason to visit this but me. We want to hear from “you.” I hope you are here and care enough to take your time and speak your mind.

I would like to steer the conversation to a topic, if that's ok. So, the question for today is: What do you do for a living and how is this economy effecting your employment and your industry?

Doc's Fantastic Plant Derived Colloidal Minerals

So now we know what we are looking for, where do we go to find these incredible minerals? I suggest we follow Doc Wallach to the mine. Your first question should be "Mine? How do you pick plant derived minerals in a mine?" I thought the same thing myself when I first heard the concept.

In 1925, a rancher in Utah made a historic discovery when he found the remains of an ancient rain forest that had been uniquely encapsulated and preserved. What about Dr. Wallach's minerals?

So, Friday we learned minerals are 60 of the 90 essential nutrients. We learned that the food we are eating is on a steady down slide in nutritional value because of where it is planted and how many plantings have been made in the soil it comes from. It makes sense that every crop removed, reduces the value of the minerals in the soil. We learned that Dr. Joel Wallach, in his research has shown there are more than 900 diseases caused by nutritional deficiencies.

My question is, “Do you believe it?” Have you surfed around and checked up on what I am saying? Have you checked with your grocer to ask, “How many days prior to putting your fresh produce on the shelf was it picked?” Do you think it matters how much sun a plant is exposed to in relation to its level of nutrition? How much sun does your tomato get in a shipping crate? These things are about nutrition not insecticides. If these things are a given and you agree, then what about where was the plant grown? Are gold and silver found everywhere? If they are, we should all be rich. Nutritional minerals are the same. Each mineral is found where it is found. Sounds obvious but if it is obvious then why do we believe if a patch of soil will grow a simple plant that it can provide all the minerals required for a complex human.

There are three types of minerals used in supplements.

1- Metallic minerals are rock or shell based, and are 2 to 12% absorbable. The human body is not capable of processing iron in the form of rust scraped off a railroad track and in fact metallic minerals can poison humans. Rust is only an example. Percentage of absorption indicates if there is 100 mg in a product and you receive 3% absorption you know there is 100 mg present in the product but your body only absorbs 3 mg. When you read any label look at both factors.

2- Chelated minerals are when a mineral is bound with a more absorbable substance, such as an amino acid. This raises absorption in humans up to 40%. According to Dr. Wallach this process was developed in the veterinary field of medicine.

3- The safest and most effective way to get your minerals is from plants. Plants take large molecule minerals with a positive ionic charge from the soil and through photosynthesis break these molecules down into smaller sizes (7000 times smaller than a red blood cell) and give them a negative charge. Basically the plant pre-digests the minerals for us. These minerals are water-soluble, up to 98% absorbable, non-toxic and safe for the body - the way Mother Nature intended us to get our minerals! Whilst plant derived colloidal minerals are considered to be 100% safe for pregnant and nursing mothers when used as directed, it is recommended that a healthcare practitioner be consulted.

Out of the three types of minerals I believe we can agree that the most effective for us nutritionally are the plant derived minerals. Fall Is In the Air

October is such a wonderful time of the year. The fall colors have been just brilliant with all the water we are receiving. This is kind of a laid back season usually and I hope you’re relaxing from your busy summer activities. Along with the let off from summer and the space between the holidays comes some extra time on our hands. You could work on building a residual income that will finance you through the Christmas season. I know December is a tough time of the year because of the financial drain from what we buy for our loved ones. Wouldn’t it be great this year if you had a residual income of an extra $500 a month for the holidays? In fact the money could continue and just increase through the first of next year, until it runs into tax time.

This is something to think about before you get to April 15th.

Tax Preparation is what you do the night before you submit your paperwork and money to the IRS.
Tax Planning is what you do for the year preceding paying your taxes, the records you keep, the work you do and what your business intentions are.

It works for me. All the political hoopla about small to medium business the candidates are throwing around could be referring to you. I'm pretty sure with the economy the way it is, a little or even a bunch of added security wouldn't hurt your feelings.

I know that a lot of you make great incomes and many of you only use the products from Youngevity for the health benefits. I understand, because health benefits are what brought me into the company. But, I am one of those blabber mouths that when I find something that has really helped me, I have to tell people about it. It’s kind of like going to a great movie; you want to tell everyone about it. The only difference is that what we have in Youngevity relieves pain, gives energy, extends life and the list goes on and on. Some of you have a business outside Youngevity, and have access to all the tax deductions of a business owner. As a business owner you have one hundred fifty seven legal tax deductions. For those that are just employees or retired, there are basically only three legal tax deductions.

Some TAX MYTHS we've heard in the past are:
1. My accountant gets me all the deductions available
2. You increase the chances of an audit if you take advantage of legal deductions
3. You have to make a profit to be eligible for any home based business deductions
4. There’s no way I can deduct my car mileage to and from work @ .48 cents/mi.
5. It's impossible to deduct 100% of medical health care and expenses
6. I can’t deduct my children’s allowances or college education
7. I have to keep all of my receipts to be eligible for any deductions

Something about the United States, so far it's a free country. Nobody has to do anything they don't want, as long as there's no law. The cool thing about taxes is there is a law and Congress wants us to follow it. If that law says I can pay less taxes then I'm all for it.

Wow! Three blogs in a row on the Residual Income Game. You must think I really believe in their game. I do believe you can learn more in a couple of hours of playing Residual Income about building your business then any other way for the same amount of time. Wow! Successful Game Night!

Last nights Residual Income Game Play was a smashing success! Mike Vande Sluis was the big winner in cold hard cash. Mike walked away with $100.00 dollars from Double Diamond Nephi Wayman towards his cost of the Youngevity Convention in February. Mike will be in Las Vegas this spring rubbing shoulders with millionaires, learning and playing his way to financial freedom.

Speaking of millionaires, we were visited by Blake Graham. Blake is a Triple Diamond legend in Youngevity and he and his partner Todd Smith will be the hosts of the Diamond University in Las Vegas. Every year we are treated to an education fit for kings and queens at these events. It is incredible to not only have Doc and Steve and the whole Youngevity team giving us incredible training, products and support but the training from the distributor side is phenomenal! These leaders are in the trenches building business and have their finger on the pulse of the industry. If there is a new technique or a trend they pick up on it right away with the thousands of distributors they deal with regularly.

I have to say that there were excited people at the game last night. We began playing at around 7:30 and finished the last moves at 10:30. You may think that's a long time but the truth is those in the game just didn't want it to end. It's incredible to see a simulated Dentists income go from 5 or 6 thousand dollars to 35,000 in the period of 3 hours. It didn’t take long for each player to pick up, because of the game, things they are missing in promoting their real world business. Each player learns that it is necessary for most of us to grow to become leaders. Many people coming into network marketing think they are ready now to be a leader and make millions. Very few, say one in 10 thousand are born networkers. For the rest of us, we need some time to emulate our upline, read books, listen to training media, attend workshops and conventions, but most of all we need to practice what we learn in all these venues. True networkers know that Network Marketing is not a get rich quick business. If you are making a ton of money out of the gate you are in direct sales. The ones with residual income, that is job dropping and that lasts for generations, build their business by helping others meet their goals and along the way it happens for the leader. Zig Ziggler has said for years that, "If you help enough people get what they want you will get what you want."

I would like to comment about the Residual Income team. Rod Richardson and Norma Strange are partners in the business. They were there to guide our game journey. We were lucky enough to have Rod as the facilitator for our game last night. Rod is well educated in business and leadership training. What about Youngevity Training? #2

Yesterday I touched on the Las Vegas convention and about our fabulous Youngevity conference calls. Today I would like to continue with our Youngevity training and what we have available.

~ We have the opportunity to bathe in a fountain of youth by listening every weekday to our own Dr. Joel D. Wallach. We can sit at his feet and soak up knowledge that will change our lives. That's a little flowery but absolutely true. Doc is on the radio weekdays at Radio Channel KSCO in the Bay Area. ~ Training in Youngevity utilizes technology in the form of Cd's, videos, webinars, website Back Office training and the Internet. One of the best ways to see the effectiveness of how this works is to play a game. This game is Rumor. How you play is to get a dozen or so people: put them on chairs in a line. Whisper in the ear of the first person some relatively complicated new concept. Have this person whisper that concept to the next and he or she to the next until the end of the line. You will find that your concept has evolved into something entirely different. We do not want our business to evolve into something unrecognizable. The solution is to use recorded media to pass on the information. Those Cd's will not change and people receiving them will get the true story. We are fortunate to have leaders that give us great Cd's, videos and seminars. They have succeeded and want us to benefit as they have. No one in network marketing succeeds without helping others become all they can be. We become a "messenger" and can truly say this is not sales. Our job is to know where to lead our friend to find the information that can change his life. In these troubled times that information is not always about health. Many times it is to throw a lifeline for a friend's finances. The tool we have that is the most effective is the relationship with our friend. What About Youngevity Training?

Sorry I missed writing to my blog yesterday. My trusty old disc drive crashed. I spent the last few days restoring my computer.

Today I'd like to talk some about Youngevity training. One of the things that are very important when choosing a network marketing company is what kind of help you will get. The great part of Youngevity is that we have a plethora of help. This is not a Lone Ranger business.

Youngevity has incredible conventions with awesome opportunities for us to learn and grow. This spring our convention is February 6th-7th in Las Vegas, Nevada. There is also a Diamond University on the 5th of February before the convention. There will be many chances to get to know other Youngevity Distributors at this event.

Dr Joel Wallach, Suzanne Somers, Doug Firebaugh and Dr. Corey Gold have been announced as the lead speakers for the convention. I have been to all the corporate conventions since 2003 and I have to say they are incredible extravaganzas.

The Next Step Is To Know Youngevity

So a little recap might be in order. I have hit on my health and some other facts about me. I touched on the state of the economy and where we are in it. I talked a bit about Doc Wallach. I spent a day on tax savings of a working from home business.

What’s next? One of the concerns people have, even in this period in time is ~ WHAT ABOUT PYRAMIDS? It's funny when we are naming stadiums and convention centers after MLM companies and most everyone knows of someone that has made it big in Networking, that question still gets asked. I could jump right in and begin with my thoughts on the subject but there are so many experts out there that I will defer to them. One such expert is Tim Sales. He has been a legendary leader and teacher in network marketing for years. He and Dr. Charles King, a PHD from the Harvard Business School and a professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, did an incredible presentation on network marketing. It has stood the test of time in being the best explanation ever given. The title: Brilliant Compensation. Controls are at the top of the screen.

Who should watch this video? Everyone. If you are in network marketing and have ever had any guilt feeling sharing your business with your friends, you should watch. If you don’t know about the business or have only had a brief flirt with being a networking distributor, you should watch. If you have been a long time product user in a networking business and regularly get your Autoship of your favorite product but never look into what else is available from your company, you should watch. Are you struggling financially? Are you looking for a way to add five hundred dollars to your monthly budget? If you have huge dreams and aspirations, you should watch. If you have ever been asked if MLM was about pyramids or "is MLM legal", you should watch. Get the picture? Everyone should watch!

Networking and Taxes

Yesterday I mentioned the tax savings value of a work from home business. I hope you didn't think that the only reason to be part of Youngevity was to save taxes. Tax savings are not the reason to work from home but are a reason for a work from home business. Huge corporations create much of the revenue of our country, but the bulk of our national income is from what are called the small to midsized business. Because Congress knows we are a viable source of tax revenue they want us to have deductions and benefits that make it worth our while to continue bringing home the bacon.
